Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with ions and/or specifying tile, natural stone, slab, and other associated products with the ability to offer creative designs and practical alternatives while keeping the best solutions in mind.
  • Educate customers on product knowledge and guide customers through the process of design and material choices.
  • Be a brand ambassador for Crossville Inc. and display pride in our showroom, product offering and team.
  • You should have a passion for Interior Design and are motivated by challenges.
  • Possess the ability to adjust your style for your audience and have a clear understanding of individual taste and preference.
  • Determine customer needs regarding budget, timeframe, and end user requirements to tailor a presentation of appropriate material solutions.
  • Provide an accurate and prompt price quote to the customer by using the Dancik system.
  • Strive to make every customer feel welcome in the showroom by greeting them and offering complimentary beverages and snacks.
  • Strong communication skills required (verbal and written) along with the ability to collaborate respectfully and professionally with customers, co-workers, contractors, management, and outside agencies/vendors to ensure a smooth transition from order placement to product installation.
  • Willingness to learn new things, accepting of change and a flexible attitude are a must.
  • Attend internal training opportunities when available and be prompt, courteous and respectful to all trainers and presenters.
  • Provide clients with unsurpassed service, expertise, and convenience through the sales and completion process while also making the experience unique and memorable.
  • Constantly build and maintain a working knowledge of current inventory, product lines, specifications, benefits, features and information through regular product reviews, internal meetings, trade, and industry publications, etc.
  • Always maintain a professional appearance and a can-do attitude.
  • In partnership with the manager, maintain showroom literature, displays and the sample library.
  • Use Dancik efficiently to look up pricing, inventory and availability, customer information, delivery dates, backorders, etc.
  • Enter all customer selection information in the Showroom Selections Manager.
  • Use professional and polite email etiquette always and strive for prompt follow-ups and replies to customers, co-workers, and vendors.
  • Support all marketing initiatives including social media and events.
  • Provide support and resources to Crossville Studios Outside Sales Representatives and work in partnership by passing on selection information for new and existing clients.
  • Back up Customer Service as needed by answering phones and assisting customers at the service desk.
  • Lead by example, practice patience and kindness and treat others as you expect to be treated.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
