Bunge is looking for a 2nd Class Operating Engineer for their Altona, Manitoba, Canada facility.  Schedule is: 7:30am-4pm, Monday – Friday.

In this role, you will need to possess effective verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of Microsoft products and database software, and demonstrate good time management.   Must have flexibility to work overtime based on operational demands. 

Core Functions 

The successful candidate will be responsible for relief duties, maintenance functions, and safe operation of the steam plant and ancillary equipment including all fire protection systems. Duties will include helping the shift Engineer in daily activities like tracking and logging all power plant equipment, inventory checks, safe and efficient operation of the steam plant, quality control and testing, food safety protocols, and reporting.  

Candidates must possess a valid Manitoba Second Class Power (Operating) Engineer Certificate or equivalent and ready to get the Manitoba second class power engineer certificate.  Flexibility to work overtime based on operational demands. Experience as a shift engineer in a first class plant, effective verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of Microsoft products and database software, and good time management will be an asset.
