In this important role, you will be responsible for:

  • Work in a professional manner and keep all equipment in top working order resulting in only quality product being released to the customer.
  • Troubleshoot, remove and replace different types of electronic, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and optic systems.
  • Pre-inspect parts or equipment to be repaired to determine what parts, supplies, forms, tools, tool repair and shop equipment are required; and communicate with Maintenance Manager.
  • Read programmable controller information to diagnose complex problems.
  • Diagnose and repair AC and DC motor controls.
  • Replace belts, pulleys, cables, chains, bearings, gears and related equipment.
  • Communicate with other plant personnel when requested to, to review deficiencies.
  • Emphasis on Preventative Maintenance within the plant.
  • Assist with work orders as required by Maintenance Manager.
  • Assist with any machine maintenance tasks when requested or needed
    • e.g., injection/mold rebuilds, automation issues, etc.
  • Adhere to all Company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist in training as needed.
  • Accurately log all work performed.
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with plant lockout/tagout procedures, electrical safety, hazard communication program, personal protective equipment and other safety programs; apply these procedures when working on equipment.
  • Follow all Safety, Food Safety and GMP policies.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly appearance of shop and molding machines.
  • Other maintenance-related duties/tasks may be assigned.
