Ridgeline Construction is a custom home construction and full-service renovation company searching for a skilled Lead Carpenter to join their team in the Midlothian, VA area.

In the role of Lead Carpenter, you will be dispatched from home to customer site, you will only report to the office twice a month. Ridgeline Construction provides the support you need to be successful and grow your skills.

Carpenters, if you have proven carpentry skills, “state of the art” talent, and motivation with hands-on/production-oriented projects, Ridgeline Construction wants to hear from you. Must have your own basic tools.

Some of the Essential Functions:

  • Apply advanced knowledge of all phases of residential construction.
  • Ability to layout framing, decks, cabinetry, etc.
  • Ability to hang multi-member crown, set doors, build steps and install premade stair runs, handrails, construct built-in shelving.
  • Have a willingness to learn and a desire for professional growth.
  • Ability to interpret and follow architectural plans, assess materials take offs and understand the affect all trades will have on the plans and how construction techniques affect trades.
  • Ability to regularly lift 75 pounds and perform all other duties of a full-time carpenter.
  • Reliable transportation capable of transporting personal tools safely to and from the various job sites. Site locations may change daily and within any day.
  • Punctual and able to keep staff carpenters and helpers on task and goal oriented.
  • Responsible for maintaining the quality control over all carpentry work on assigned projects.
  • Working with the Project Managers to maintain schedules and materials for ongoing projects.
  • Responsible for maintaining a professional environment at job sites always
  • Responsible for helping to encourage and educate staff carpenters and helpers.
